Flight Attendants

Working Conditions

Flight attendants spend about 75 to 85 hours in the air per month, this does not include the time spent on the ground, preparing for flights and compiling reports. They do, however, get about 11 days off per month, but they do spend about one-third of the time way from home. It is a demanding job as they spend most of their time on their feet.

They must always be pleasant even if they are exhausted. Common problems that flight attendants have are back injuries and illness related to irregular sleeping and eating patterns. Dealing with disgruntled passengers is also a problem that flight attendants may have to deal with from time to time.
